The Name
“What in the world am I doing, is this all there is? I’m almost 40yrs young, (a baby to all those older than me and ancient to all those younger) I had dreams bigger than this, I mean, I would die for my wife and family, but there was supposed to be more for me and them.”
Do you ever find yourself having those similar thoughts…come on, be real, you have haven’t you? Guess what, your human!
This is why I decided to start Beckoned Call. Look at where we have been, think about it, ponder it, deal with it, forgive and ask to be forgiven, do what you need to do. Just remember, you can’t change what is done, the mistakes etc…you know what I mean.
Now lay it down.
My Father-in-law made a good point in his message today. (paraphrasing he said, after Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He told the people to remove the death clothing. Jesus does not only raise Lazarus from the dead he has raised us in our dead sinful nature from the dead.)
Now lay it down, lay down the death clothes because you are alive in Christ and He has removed the death clothes, stop letting all of the stuff get in the way and realize the higher calling.
It’s not that I’ve already reached the goal or have already completed the
course. But I run to win that which Jesus Christ has already won for me.
Brothers and sisters, I can’t consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do:
I don’t look back, I lengthen my stride, and I run straight toward the goal to
win the prize that God’s heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus.

It’s a Beckoned Call from the Lord, an enticing appearance.
Here is what the dictionary says Beckoned means:
To attract because of an inviting or enticing appearance
What the Lord has planned for you is bigger and better than you can imagine, it will bless you and your loved ones beyond any earthy aspirations. It is an upward calling or better yet an eternal calling. Isn’t that worth waking up in the morning, Or giving your wife a big sloppy kiss, or letting your kid squeeze you tight and wipe there buggers on your best shirt.
Every breath is one step closer to the greatest enticing appearance.
